  • Pete Schemm

    Lead Pastor

    Pete and Vicki have enjoyed ministry at CSBC since October of 2010. They have eight children: Charis, Colby, Jacob, Zachary, Parker, Anderson, Mary Kathryn, and Chase. Before coming here, Pete taught at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is the co-founder of the Bonhoeffer Haus—an onsite, seminary apprentice program for future pastors, church-planters, and missionaries. He enjoys sports, hiking, biking, and just about anything outdoors.


  • Chuck Stanley

    Pastor of Administration

    Chuck spent his early career in business consulting and sales before being called to local church ministry. Chuck and Susan have five children, three of which are grown. They have served at CSBC together since August of 2011. The Stanley’s enjoy family beach trips and spending time outdoors. They inherited their love for Clemson football from Chuck’s dad. Chuck is grateful to live in the beautiful Roanoke Valley and to serve at CSBC. 


  • Jon Rice

    Pastor of Worship and Music

    Jon has led worship at the Cave since 2012. He and Brenda have been married for 35 years and raised five children: Jonathan, Aaron, Hannah, Natalie and Rachel. They are now discovering the joys of grand-parenting. They are avid Steeler fans, enjoy gardening and hosting people in their home. 


  • Chip Baggett

    Pastor of Children, Students and Families

    Chip has been serving CSBC since 2012, alongside his wife Lauren and their three children: Will, Nora Kate, and Luke. He enjoys spending time with his family and friends, especially outdoor activities like hiking, biking, and grilling out...mostly grilling out! Chip counts it a great joy and privilege to be able to minister to families in the Roanoke Valley.


  • Allen James

    Pastor of Community and Missions

    Allen and Stepheny have been married for 30+ years.  They raised 3 boys while serving as international missionaries for 20 years prior to coming to CSBC in 2015. He would love to take you with him to explore the beauty of the valley through mountain biking, hiking or kayaking.


  • Michael Wu

    Pastor of Chinese Fellowship

    Michael has been serving at CSBC as pastor of the Chinese fellowship for 10 years. He and Julia, his wife, are both originally from Taiwan and have been married for 24 years. They are proud parents to Melissa and Megan. Michael enjoys cars and the Dallas Cowboys.

  • Lori Morgan

    Preschool Director (since 2003)

    Lori has been on staff at the preschool since 1995 and has been serving as the Director since 2003. She is married to Kenny and has two grown sons. She has a degree in business and management. Lori and a wonderful teaching staff work hard to provide families in the community with quality education combined with biblical principles.


  • Susan Stanley

    Children's Director (since 2015)

    Susan has been serving as Children's Director since April of 2015. Susan is married to Chuck and has five children, ranging from adulthood to elementary age. Susan is an incredible resource to our families and has a nursing background in pediatric intensive care.


  • Cam Spigle

    Student Director (since 2020)

    Cam has been serving as Student Director since September 2020. Cam has a huge heart for Jesus and strong desire to help young men follow Him. Cam is full of life and brings the fun! He is finishing his seminary education and training for pastoral ministry to students and families.


  • Kara Oliveri

    Student Director (since 2016)

    Kara has been serving as  Student Director since August of 2016. She has a background in youth ministry and counseling, and is passionate about discipling middle and high school girls! Kara is married to Vince and they have two children.


  • Sue Munson

    Worship Associate (since 2011)

    Sue serves as Worship Associate and has directed the choir, and other ensembles for over ten years. She is a music educator who loves working with all age groups in exploring music, helping people develop their gifts, and bringing excellence to our worship services. She and Keith are the parents of four adult children and proud grandparents of three.
